Create a realistic metal rose using hammers, heat and welding. This workshop will give you a basic understanding of artistic blacksmithing.

Discover the fascinating world of metalwork and create beautiful metal roses in this immersive and hands-on workshop. This class will take you on a journey of creativity and craftsmanship. You’ll learn to transform raw metal into intricate and lifelike roses using pre-cut patterns as your starting point. Begin your metalworking adventure by understanding the fundamentals of blacksmithing, including tools, materials, and safety protocols.

Discover the magic of heating metal to its malleable state and using a hammer to shape it, developing the skill of controlling the metal’s temperature to achieve the desired form. Use Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding, crucial for assembling the various components of your metal rose. Add fine details and finishing touches, such as texturing the petals, creating realistic curves, and giving your rose a lifelike appearance. While pre-cut patterns are provided, you’ll have the opportunity to add your personal touch to your metal rose by exploring different design elements. Gain a strong understanding of workshop safety, including proper attire, tool usage, and safety procedures to ensure a secure and enjoyable crafting experience.
